What you get with the Crickett Precision Package Muddy Girl Scoped
This is the Crickett take on a precision rifle: a scaled down PRS style stock with an adjustable cheek piece, a heavier barrel and rails for accessories. It’s still a single shot, so you load and cock it for every round.
it weighs about 4.7 pounds, it comes with a Picatinny optics rail. Synthetic stock models are drilled for sling swivel screws, so you can add a sling for carrying.
Bluing is the classic finish on a .22. Wipe it with a lightly oiled rag after a wet day and it stays in good shape for years.
Crickett Precision Package Muddy Girl Scoped package contents
- 4×28 scope with sun shade
- Adjustable bipod
- Muzzle brake on a threaded bull barrel
- EZ Loader feed ramp
- Crickettinny rails on the buttstock and forend
Buying the package saves you from matching a scope and mount to the rifle yourself. Plan on one range trip to zero the scope. Most .22 shooters zero at 50 yards.
The .22 LR cartridge
The .22 Long Rifle is the cheapest and quietest common cartridge, with almost no recoil. That’s why most people learn to shoot with one. It’s also good for squirrels, rabbits and plinking out to about 75 yards. Wikipedia has a good .22 Long Rifle history, and SAAMI publishes the chamber drawings.
