Crickett Pink Laminate Stainless 22 LR details
The action is a manually cocking single shot bolt made from alloy nickel plated steel, and the firing pin rebounds so it’s blocked unless the rifle is cocked. One shot at a time is the point: a new shooter slows down and thinks about each one.
Length of pull is 12 inches, which suits most young shooters, it weighs about 3 pounds and it comes with iron sights and a receiver drilled and tapped for an optics rail. One takedown screw under the stock holds the barreled action in, which makes cleaning simple.
With a stainless barrel, the Crickett Pink Laminate Stainless 22 LR is easy to keep clean and holds up to humid weather.
.22 LR in the Crickett Pink Laminate Stainless 22 LR
The .22 Long Rifle is the cheapest and quietest common cartridge, with almost no recoil. That’s why most people learn to shoot with one. It’s also good for squirrels, rabbits and plinking out to about 75 yards. For the technical side, see the SAAMI cartridge drawings or the .22 LR article on Wikipedia.

Fitting the Crickett Pink Laminate Stainless 22 LR
A rifle that’s too long is the most common reason kids struggle. With the stock in the shoulder, the child should reach the trigger with the first pad of the finger and keep the elbow bent. Crickett’s short length of pull is what makes that possible for small arms.
Is the Crickett Pink Laminate Stainless 22 LR right for you?
Most buyers pick the Crickett Pink Laminate Stainless 22 LR for one of these reasons:
- Youth programs and 4-H shooting clubs
- Adults who want a light trapping or camp gun
- Parents buying a first rifle for a child
Teach the basic safety rules before the first range trip. The NSSF safety guides are a good place to start.
Care and storage
After a range day, run a few patches through the bore from the breech end and wipe the metal down. Store the rifle unloaded and locked, with the ammo kept somewhere else. A cable lock through the open action is cheap and works.
