Crickett Red White Blue Stainless 22 LR features
The action is a manually cocking single shot bolt made from alloy nickel plated steel, and the firing pin rebounds so it’s blocked unless the rifle is cocked. One shot at a time is the point: a new shooter slows down and thinks about each one.
Length of pull is 12 inches, which suits most young shooters, it weighs about 3 pounds and it comes with iron sights and a receiver drilled and tapped for an optics rail. One takedown screw under the stock holds the barreled action in, which makes cleaning simple.
With a stainless barrel, the Crickett Red White Blue Stainless 22 LR is easy to keep clean and holds up to humid weather.
.22 LR in the Crickett Red White Blue Stainless 22 LR
A .22 LR costs a few cents per round and barely moves the rifle when it fires. Kids can shoot a whole box without flinching, and it’s plenty for small game and tin cans. For the technical side, see the SAAMI cartridge drawings or the .22 LR article on Wikipedia.

Fitting the Crickett Red White Blue Stainless 22 LR
A rifle that’s too long is the most common reason kids struggle. With the stock in the shoulder, the child should reach the trigger with the first pad of the finger and keep the elbow bent. Crickett’s short length of pull is what makes that possible for small arms.
Who the Crickett Red White Blue Stainless 22 LR is for
We see the Crickett Red White Blue Stainless 22 LR go to:
- Grandparents who want to start a grandkid shooting
- Youth programs and 4-H shooting clubs
- Adults who want a light trapping or camp gun
Teach the basic safety rules before the first range trip. The NSSF safety guides are a good place to start.
Care and storage
Rimfire ammo is dirty, so clean the bore every few hundred rounds and wipe the bolt face. Store the rifle unloaded in a case or safe. Teach the shooter to check the chamber every time they pick it up.
